Social work support is a helping relationship and a collaborative intervention process aimed at supporting vulnerable individuals, families, or groups in order to promote their autonomy, social and professional integration, and improve their well-being . It differs from simple, one-off assistance through its partnership approach, where the professional accompanies the individual for a period of time, valuing their own resources.

Principles and Objectives
The fundamental principles of social work guide the support provided:
Respect for the dignity and intrinsic value of the human being.
Self-determination: The person being supported is an active participant in their own journey and decisions.
Confidentiality.
Non-judgmental attitude and empathy.
Promoting social justice and defending rights.
The main objective of the support is to enable the person to:
To define and achieve one's personal integration goals (social, academic, professional).
Maintaining or restoring family, social and professional ties.
Develop one's problem-solving skills and transfer those skills to other situations.
